 SARAH DEBENHAM

Principal teacher Miss Sarah Debenham founded Razzle Dazzle Dance Studio in 1999.  Straight out of year 12 at High School, it had always been her dream to open her very own dance studio.  Sarah began learning to dance at the age of four.  For 21 years she was involved in performing at various concerts, eisteddfods and football games, as well as the Disneyland Park in L.A & Movie World on the Gold Coast.

With all of that performing now behind her, Sarah's main focus is her studio and her students.  She has been teaching children to dance for the past 15 years, 11 of those years at her own studio.  During this time, she has passed on both her knowledge and love of dance, watching her own students blossom into promising young performers - there is nothing more rewarding than teaching children.  She was very excited when she was given the opportunity to take her students to perform at the Disneyland Park in L.A.  Only 5 years earlier, it had been Sarah performing on that stage - seeing her own students enjoying the same wonderful experience was a huge accomplishment.

Sarah began Razzle Dazzle in the Community Centre of Currans Hill.  After five years, the studio had expanded immensely, clearly too big for the community centre.  At the beginning of 2004, Razzle Dazzle moved into its very own premises, a fully equipped air-conditioned studio.  After only a little while at the new premises, Sarah wondered how the studio had ever managed to operate out of just a community centre.

At the beginning of 2009, it became clear to Sarah that Razzle Dazzle had once again outgrown its home.  A brand new factory unit, nearly twice the size of the previous unit, was turned into an even bigger, more amazing dance studio.

Sarah was excited to celebrate her studio's 10th Annual Concert in November of 2009.  It is hard to believe that Razzle Dazzle has now been running for over 10 years!!  Sarah is extremely proud of all of her students and loves going to work to see them every day.

2011 is going to be an incredible year for Razzle Dazzle Dance Studio.  We welcome a brand new group of amazingly talented teachers, all extremely excited about working with the students of Razzle Dazzle.  Scroll down to read all about them!
